Extended Validation Certificates
An EV certificate is a new type of certificate that is designed to prevent phishing attacks. It requires extended validation of your business
and authorization to order the certificate and can take a few days to a few weeks to receive. It provides even greater assurance to
customers than high assurance certificates by making the address bar turn green.
Code Signing Certificates
Server Gated Cryptography Certificates
Server Gated Cryptography (SGC) was created in response to United States federal legislation on the export of strong cryptography in the 1990s.
The legislation had limited encryption to weak algorithms and shorter key lengths if used in software outside of the United States of America.
As the legislation included an exception for financial transactions, SGC was created as an extension to SSL, with SGC certificates only issued to financial organisations.
When an SSL handshake takes place, the software (e.g. a web browser) would list the ciphers that it supports.
Although the weaker exported browsers would only include weaker ciphers in its SSL handshake, the browser did also contain stronger cryptography algorithms.
To comply with the legislation, the browser would only renegotiate the handshake to use the stronger ciphers if the browser detected that the server has an SGC certificate.
This legislation has now been revoked and SGC certificates can now be issued to any organisation. However, there are still large numbers of older browsers in use,
especially outside the USA, which will only use weaker encryption unless connecting to a server that is SGC enabled.
WildCard Certificates
A wildcard certificate can secure an unlimited number of first level sub domains on a single domain name. For example, you could get a wildcard certificate with *.yourdomain.com as the common name. This certificate would secure www.yourdomain.com, mail.yourdomain.com, secure.yourdomain.com, anything.yourdomain.com, etc... In other words, it will work on any sub-domain that replaces the wildcard character (*).
Public Key Infrustructure Service
Public Key Infrastructure and authentication services enable enterprises to retain full control for access to information while leveraging
service infrastructure for provisioning and validation of authentication credentials. These services are integrated out-of-the-box with leading
multi-factor authentication technologies, including USB tokens, smart cards, biometrics, and digital form signing, providing lower total cost of ownership.
Managed PKI is available as an entry-level service for enterprises needing to secure applications on a small scale. Enterprises can control the
issuance of digital certificates to internal and external users, while outsourcing data center processing tasks like digital certificate generation, validation,
renewal, and revocation. Unified Authentication is a complete authentication solution with a comprehensive and easy-to-use suite of management
tools for smart card deployments, supporting a wide choice of smart card types, workflows, and deployment options for securing enterprises and government agencies.

Certified Document Signing Service
Designed for Enterprises
Every day, businesses, educational institutions and government agencies publish and share information electronically.
Because these organizations depend on rapid, easy information access, they bring their documents and business processes online to improve efficiency,
reduce costs, serve users more effectively and comply with regulatory mandates.
True Credentials® for Adobe® Acrobat® is changing the way enterprises use and trust electronic information.
It allows authors to create Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) documents that clearly certify to recipients that the author’s
identity has been verified by a trusted organization and that the document has not been altered. The solution allows organizations to engage
in more secure, reliable electronic document exchange, and publish trusted documents to an open community where pre-existing trust relationships don’t already exist.
Domain Validated Certificate
A low assurance/domain-validated certificate is a certificate that only includes your domain name in the certificate (not your business or organization name).
Certificate authorities usually can automatically verify that you own the domain name by checking the WHOIS record.
They can be issued instantly and are cheaper but, as the name implies, they provide less assurance to your customers.
Trust for Web
A variety of factors have combined to make trust an issue. Factors such as globalization, the anonymity of e-commerce, and an increasing reliance on
complex and powerful IT systems have caused concerns among business customers and partners leading to a decline in trust. These issues are addressed
with the services provided by practitioners using the Trust Services framework. The WebTrust service is actually comprised of a “family” of assurance services
designed for e-commerce-based systems and, upon attainment of an unqualified assurance report, would entitle the entity to display a WebTrust Seal and
accompanying practitioner’s report on its Web site. The WebTrust family of branded assurance services includes the following, applied in the context of
an e-commerce system: WebTrust Online Privacy, WebTrust Consumer Protection, WebTrust, WebTrust for Certification Authorities.
Intranet Certificates
SSL Certificates on your Intranet serve the same purpose as Internet SSL - they secure communication between a server and a browser.
Does your company use browser-based or SSL-enabled applications (like PeopleSoft, Microsoft Access, or SAP) to access information on a server?
Do you have payroll applications, customer relation management software, or other programs that have information that should be secured within your company?
Because these certificates are just for your company's intranet, intranet certificates does not require the same strict validation that it mandates for its public certificates.
That means you can get SSL security in minutes.
